Stephen’s Auto Body reminds you that no matter where you’re going, every winter driver needs to be prepared if something goes wrong. Here are some things you should carry with you in your winter driving safety kit. This is especially important if you’re going to be driving out in the country.
- Your Winter Emergency Car Kit Should Include:
- Small Shovel
- Blankets
- Extra Jackets, Hats, Gloves, Warm Shoes and Warm Socks
- Sand or Traction Devices
- Flashlight
- First Aid
- Spare Tire & Jack
- Toolkit (be sure it has jumper cables)
- Snacks
If you’re going to be driving long distance then you should also tell someone where you are going to be going and when you expect to arrive them. Have them check in on you to make sure that your journey was safe!
Tip: Put an April reminder in your calendar to review everything that’s in your car’s trunk and remove items that may go bad once spring and summer warm weather starts to move in!
